Biology
Explore the rich and varied topics in biology essential to many important and rewarding careers, such as medicine or biotechnology. Learn how to improve your scientific writing skills through a presentation or scientific essay, exploring how Biological research impacts society.
Computer Science
Students will discover Python, tackle programming tasks, and be shown how to think programmatically by breaking down problems so that they can tackle them with Python. They will learn relational databases, a powerful tool that is used almost everywhere in computer science to efficiently store data.
Engineering
This course covers both fundamental knowledge and cutting-edge technologies in Electrical, Mechanical, and Materials Engineering, including electromagnetism, rigid body dynamics, and nanotechnology. Students will begin by exploring the digital circuits within modern laptops and smartphones to understand how electrical components work. They will then put theory into practice by building their own radio receiver, applying engineering principles to solve a real-world problem as a team, culminating in a presentation of their group’s design solution to instructors and peers.
Physics
Participants are encouraged to explore new material in-depth and to form independent and considered opinions and ideas based on sound research and practical knowledge. Research topics include classical mechanics, wave phenomena, electronic engineering, optics, electricity and magnetism, thermodynamics and states of matter, atoms, nuclei and elementary particles, and quantum Mechanics.

Business Management
Expert MBA tutors provide a fascinating insight into a broad array of management and entrepreneurship topics, such as organisational behaviour and the management of organisations, as well as finance, strategy, and marketing. Throughout the programme, students will develop their own case study and share their findings with their class.
International Relations
The study of IR raises questions such as: What powers does the United Nations actually have? What influence does the Security Council have over the rest of the world? Which treaties and trade agreements have shaped relationships between countries that only decades ago were at war? You will explore these questions and global issues, group discussions, and others like them over two weeks of dynamic tutorials.
Criminology
The course aims to provide a comprehensive overview of criminology. It covers various aspects of crime, its effects on society, and how the justice system works. Participants will explore the definition and different types of crimes and how social, economic, and political factors can influence why people commit crimes. A significant part of the programme will focus on understanding the criminal justice system, including its theories, policies, and practices, and how these impact how we respond to crime and help victims. Students will also learn about the history and evolution of policing, its ethical considerations, and how it relates to diversity in society. We will address social inequalities, particularly looking at how economic disparities can lead to criminal behaviour.
>Philosophy
Explore the so-called Pre-socratics, the foundation of Western philosophical thought, to explain the nature of existence; examine how Nietzsche’s views were distorted by 20th-century Nazi propaganda; and explore Sigmund Freud’s beliefs to understand the influence between human behaviour and the social environment. At the end of the course, students will have the opportunity to present on what is of most interest in the field of philosophy and receive feedback from experts in the field of philosophy.
History
Students will explore science in the context of the 15th century and seek to understand how and why scientific exploration took on new significance during this time period. Discuss the rise of gender history and its own historical context before exploring gender through the lens of witch-hunting. Apply the historical theory and context that have been explored throughout the programme to create an essay on a topic of their choice.
Creative Writing
The creative writing courses offer the chance for students to enhance their creative writing skills by crafting the stimulating cultural setting of Cambridge, the academic home to some of the world’s greatest literary and creative minds, such as John Milton and William Thackeray. They will learn how to improve their work through various techniques - focusing on areas such as character and plot development, form, and much more.
Mathematics
Dive into the ubiquitous nature of matrices as they are represented in equations, geometric transformations, complex numbers, and even particles used in physics! Explore the concept and definitions of numbers like Integers, Rationals, and Reals. Students will also learn to deal with higher-dimensional spaces, where their eyes cannot see, but their minds can, through algebra.
Architecture
An exploration of what the study of architecture entails at the university level and a description of current practice. Embark on a tour of Cambridge to sketch moments and details of architectural interest. Learn the foundations of architecture by examining its earliest examples. Students will tackle the most complex forms of drawing, including axonometric and isometric. Students will have produced a full set of meticulously crafted drawings.
Chemistry
The curriculum explores stimulating topics such as sustainable chemistry and nanotechnology, and their implications for everyday life. Students will emerge with the crucial pre-university knowledge and skills to excel in Chemistry. Throughout the fortnight, participants will be working on their own personal project. Having been provided with a brief, participants should research and prepare a presentation for their peers.
English Literature
Participants will explore how individuals and societies have interpreted literature from the days of Aristotle to the present day. Analyse how two key poets, John Milton and T. S. Eliot, used poetry to engage with Biblical stories and themes. Study three different textual forms: a sonnet, an excerpt from a young children’s book from the 1780s, and a selection of texts from William Blake’s Songs of Innocence.
Psychology
The psychology summer programme allows you to explore some of the most fascinating topics in this complex and multidisciplinary field, from behavioural genetics to social psychology. Psychologists explore intriguing questions such as: what makes you unique? What makes you different from others? What are the motivations of human behaviour?
Natural Science
The program aims to equip participants with a profound understanding of the intricacies of the natural world. Through hands-on engagement with a diverse range of scientific domains, participants sharpen their analytical skills and unravel mysteries spanning the entire scientific spectrum. By fostering a multidisciplinary perspective, the programme encourages research, critical thinking, and practical application, demonstrating the transformative potential of weaving together various scientific threads. Participants will depart with a deepened comprehension of the inner workings of the natural world.

Nanotechnology
With modules exploring the fundamental concepts in nanoscience and nanotechnology, emerging technologies, and the history of artificial intelligence, this course offers an in-depth introduction supported by expert tutors. Examining the trends and developments in recent years, students will have the opportunity to form their opinions and gain confidence in discussing these in an academic context.
Law
Students will take part in a comprehensive curriculum covering the essentials of constitutional, criminal, human rights, and EU law. The legal profession is explored at your law summer school through a series of dynamic academic sessions. Students will be invited to take advantage of LNAT workshops where they’ll learn how to study for the challenging LNAT.
Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE)
PPE is a programme founded on the belief that students will benefit greatly from studying the works of economic, social, political, and philosophical thought in a combined course. This course aims to provide students with the skills they need to succeed in a variety of career paths and future academic pursuits. They will establish a solid foundation of what studying PPE at university looks like, as well as a firm understanding of the subject.
Artificial Intelligence
Can Artificial Intelligence replace human jobs, and in which fields are AI technologies most applicable? What contributions can AI make to human development? Throughout this project, students will thoroughly analyse the ethical implications of AI, delve into the development and application of AI technology, and examine the underlying relationships between machine learning, neural networks, and AI.
Coding
This course introduces students to the world of programming, starting with how computers interpret code and building a foundation in core Python concepts for future software development. Students will explore Java syntax by creating simple mechanics for interactive games, experiencing the basics of game development. They will also learn web development using JavaScript and popular frameworks to build web projects. In the mobile development section, students will dive into key concepts and practices, mastering different languages and enhancing their problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
Economics
This course teaches students to apply multivariate regression analysis to quantify data relationships and uncover real-world economic patterns. They will explore development economics, examining wealth disparities, growth drivers, and challenges in developing nations. The course also covers auction theory, analysing bidders’ strategies in markets. Through practical applications, students will strengthen their analytical and problem-solving skills.
Female Future Leaders
This course explores how women break barriers and lead change across politics, business, and social movements. Students will analyse global trends, leadership strategies, and innovation. Through practical activities, they will enhance public speaking, communication, and confidence. In the final summit, students will present research, debate, and collaborate on global challenges, strengthening leadership and teamwork skills.
Global Leadership
This course, focused on leadership theory and the functioning of the international system, is designed to equip students with the ability to navigate challenges and drive positive change in a rapidly evolving world, providing students with foundational methods for strategic problem-solving. Students will learn to build robust mindsets and practical skills, exploring global issues and social challenges from multiple perspectives. The course includes practical simulations such as crisis management and international policy negotiation, helping students enhance their cross-cultural communication skills and career resilience.

Medicine
During our two-week programme, participants will explore a broad range of medical concepts with opportunities to apply new knowledge in a series of practicals. Expert tutors from world-leading universities will teach them how to suture, measure blood pressure and perform dissections, and talk them through the variety of career options open to a graduate in medicine.
Biotechnology
Cambridge has hundreds of pioneering biotech organisations. Visiting a campus provides an exceptional opportunity to explore biotechnology, witnessing innovations first-hand. Engaging with scientists and professionals, students can learn about drug discovery, genomic, and biotech impact. It explores innovative solutions, genomic, and ethical considerations in the biotech field. The main objective is to delve into biotechnology, unravelling its potential to reshape industries.

This program will provide an immersive experience of the long-standing collegiate system at the University of Cambridge. The University of Cambridge comprises 31 colleges spread throughout the city centre and surrounding areas, with each college serving as an independent academic and residential unit. These colleges not only uphold Cambridge’s rich academic tradition but are also renowned for their stunning medieval architecture and serene courtyards, creating a unique atmosphere that blends scholarship and history.
Students will be assigned to various colleges based on their chosen subjects, living, dining, and studying alongside peers from around the world, thereby fully experiencing the college-centred daily life of Cambridge students and enhancing their independence during their studies abroad.
Notes:
* To ensure student safety, each college has its own access control system. Except under special circumstances, outsiders are not permitted entry, and parents cannot visit students in the colleges. Students aged 13-15 will reside entirely within the college, while those aged 16-18 may go out within specified times with permission in advance.
* Students will be housed in college dormitories assigned by the organizers based on age and course selection. Room types (single or shared) will be determined accordingly. Students do not have the right to choose or change their assigned dormitory. Given that some of the university’s buildings are historic, accommodations may be modest. Students are encouraged to embrace this authentic experience of Cambridge life with an open mind.

Fee
* ASEEDER offers scholarship deductions of up to 1,000 RMB for students who have won awards in ASEEDER STEM Challenges. For more information, please check the ASEEDER official website or consult with an ASEEDER teacher.
