Introduction toTOEFL® Young Students Championship
TOEFL® Young Students Championship (TYC), jointly organized by Educational Testing Service (ETS) andASEEDER, is open to all English learners and suitable for both beginners and students with a certain level of English language proficiency. It is designed to help students improve their English application skills, locate their current English learning strengths and weaknesses through actual practice, and prepare for the TOEFL® test and future academic English learning. The Championship is divided into three rounds: Preliminary Round - National Finals - ETS Princeton Training Camp, to stimulate students' interest in learning and provide them with diversified practice platforms, helping them continuously improve their English under global standards.
In 2024, the Preliminary Round for TOEFL® Young Students Championship is open for registration. Students from all over China will participate in well-designed academic assessments, and experience high-caliber and interesting questions aligned with CEFR Through the Preliminary Round, students will not only have the opportunity to obtain authoritative certification but will also compete for the qualification to advance to the more challenging National Finals!

ASEEDER, founded in September 2011, is a charity and an awarding body from the UK focusing on skilled-based education for over 40 years to satisfy the diverse needs of all learners. ASEEDER currently co-operates with 1,340 international schools and key schools in 84 cities. In 2023, more than 360,000 students and more than 6,300 teachers have participated in ASEEDER programs.

* What is CEFR?
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an internationally recognized standard for describing language proficiency and levels. It is the most widely accepted language assessment reference framework globally. In many countries, the CEFR has replaced the original evaluation systems used for foreign language education. For instance, many educational authorities in Europe have explicitly stated the CEFR levels that secondary school students should achieve, such as B2 being the level for the first foreign language and B1 for the second foreign language
