About Boston International Composition Competition
The Boston International Music Competition (BIMC) is proud to announce its latest composition contest Boston International Composition Competition (BICC). BICC provides an international platform for 7 to 30 years old musicians and fans to show their excellent orginal works. BICC is designed to celebrate musical creativity and innovation. We are glad to invite talented composers from all over the world, offering the flexibility to explore a variety of musical styles and instrumentation.
BICC is a ONE-round music composition contest and the Gold Award composition works may have the opportunities to be invited to perform on WeStar Four Season Concerts, the BIMC Winners’ Concert and other international events. More chances to get prizes, scholarships, letters of recommendation.
About ASEEDER
ASEEDER was founded in September 2011, currently cooperates with top international educational organizations and prestigious universities across the world, with the aim of introducing high quality education resources into China. ASEEDER hopes to connect after-class activities with school classes, and aims to help schools improve their overall extra curricular activities, by providing students with high quality educational resources.
Since 2021, ASEEDER has been introducing music-based programs, establishing long-term partnerships with several international youth music festivals in the UK, Austria, Italy, Sweden and Switzerland.

Style: No limitation on style. Classical music, popular music, jazz, world music and other styles are available
* Large ensembles or orchestrations are also welcomed and will be considered a bonus, but not a requirement. Evaluation of the works are proceeded in each category listed above, but the Awards are based on the scores (0 ~ 100) in each Age Group
Application
Submission Instruction:
1. Music score must be in PDF format, work's title and composer's name should be included.
2. The file must be recorded after October 1st, 2024. Audio media file in .mp3 format (live or digital recording) and no larger than 10MB. If you want to submit video please upload on YouTube、Bilibili、Youku, attach the link when you sign up. The file's name should follow the style: Name_Category_Age Code_Music Title (e.g.John Smith_Piano_Age Code B_Chopin Ballade No 1 in G minor Op 23).
3. A clear copy of your Passport or ID, a JPEG file of your artistic photograph(300-600KB), PDF score, audio file or video link shall be sent to bimc@seedasdan.org before January 19, 2025. The title of the email should be named after Your Name + BICC Composition.
Video Requirements:
If you would like to submit videos:
1. Videos must be in original recording from ONE camera angle with good lighting and may not be edited or modified in any way.
2. Contestant should wear formal uniforms and all players' faces, hands and instruments fully visible.
3. Any video applications that are suspected of foul play will be asked to re-take and resubmit their applications.

Application Rules:
1. Original Work is required. The contestant agrees to guarantee the composition work is his (her) original work and he (she) holds the copyright of the work.
2. The composition may have multiple composers, but please designate one name only on the application.
3. Contestant can submit no more than THREE applications in any and all categories. One application can only submit ONE composition work.
4. Boston Int’l Composition Competition is a ONE-round music composition contest, NOT including songwriting.
5. Compositions should not exceed 6 minutes, large ensemble or orchestral works should not exceed 10 minutes.
