Its long history dates back to 1636 and it boasts profound cultural heritage and remarkable academic achievements.It has produced 160 Nobel laureates, 14 Turing Award winners, and 18 Fields Medalists. Countless outstanding alumni representatives in various fields such as politics, economy, and culture have emerged from here, exerting a profound influence on the development of the world and leading the way in global higher education.

The Harvard Summer School is an academic enrichment program held on the campus of Harvard University. It recruits outstanding high school students from around the world and offers a variety of themed courses.

Since 2025, ASEEDER has been the partner of Summer School at Harvard in China.

It is open to outstanding Chinese students in grades 9-12, offering four popular subjects including Business, Pre-Med, Finance, and Coding. During the program, students will go to Harvard University. They will experience exploratory academic sessions, such as lectures given by keynote speakers, scenario simulations, and interactive project presentations under the leadership of the star instructors team.

These will help students master subject knowledge and improve important qualities like innovation, critical thinking, and teamwork. Moreover, they can communicate with outstanding student representatives from all over the world and establish close connections with Harvard scholars.

* *Note: The summer school is an academic program for international students held at Harvard University, officially recognized, but not directly affiliated with Harvard University or its constituent departments. Grades from the course cannot be converted into Harvard University credits.

Why US?

Immersive Experience at the Harvard

Students will study on the campus of Harvard University. The program offers four academic fields for students to choose from: Business, Pre-Med, Finance, and Coding.

Star Instructors from the Harvard

The instructors of the Summer School consist of Harvard scholars and representatives in professional fields. Students will experience the academic atmosphere of a prestigious university in highly interactive classes with a high teacher-student ratio (approximately 1:10).

Certificate and Project Output

Students who complete the academic tasks during the program will receive a completion of certificate and use the knowledge and skills they have learned to complete an individual or team graduation project, demonstrating their academic abilities.

Diversified International Classroom

Students will learn with peers all over the world to gain insights into different subjects to experience a highly international and diverse classroom environment.

Cultural Exploration in Boston & NY

Students will conduct an in-depth exploration of two of the most representative historical cities in the United States: Boston and New York. They will have the opportunity to visit many well-known landmarks such as the MIT campus, the Freedom Trail, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, etc.

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship Academy teaches the fundamentals of launching a business. Students will get the opportunity to extend their financial literacy by delving deep into the world of startups. Students will also gain valuable hands-on experience and will be challenged to advance their analytical thinking. What you'll learn:
  • Create your own innovative startup idea and learn to adapt it to the current market.
  • Advance your financial literacy and gain valuable analytical skills to conduct market and customer research.
  • Dive into the components that structure a business plan and learn how to create one yourself.
  • Conduct a SWOT analysis and analyze product-market fit for your business idea.
  • Craft persuasive and informational elevator pitches to mock investors.
  • Analyze a business school case study and apply your findings to your own business.

Introductory Economics




Introductory Economics Academy teaches the core principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics. Participants will explore key concepts like market dynamics, supply and demand, and the impact of government policies on the economy. This program emphasizes hands-on learning, encouraging students to analyze real-world data, interpret trends, and evaluate the effects of economic decisions. Through case studies and interactive projects, students will develop critical thinking skills and learn how to apply economic reasoning to everyday issues. Students will learn about pioneer economic theorists and practical implementation within their lives. Additionally, the program will equip students with the tools to make informed decisions.
What you'll learn:

  • Understanding foundational economic principles such as supply and demand, market equilibrium, and elasticity.
  • Exploring the role of government policies, including fiscal and monetary policy, in shaping economic outcomes.
  • Analyzing how markets function, including competition, monopolies, and externalities.
  • Developing an understanding of international trade, exchange rates, and the global economy.
  • Examining personal economic decisions, such as budgeting, saving, and investment strategies, in the context of broader economic systems.
  • Understanding the impact of behavioral economics on decision-making at both individual and societal levels.

Biology & Chemistry

Biology and Chemistry Academy provides an opportunity for students to learn about genetics, immunology, CRISPR, and organic chemistry. Students will gain important medical background and take a deep dive into various diseases. The strong curriculum allows students to gain a better understanding of what being pre-med entails. What you'll learn:
  • Gain knowledge in genetics, immunology, and organic chemistry (including naming and structure).
  • Discuss the ethics behind the controversial topic of CRISPR.
  • Explore medical conditions, including Down Syndrome and Sickle Cell Anemia.
  • Learn about hydrocarbons, alkanes, alkyl side groups, and naming.
  • Take a deep dive into a specific inherited disease and have the opportunity to learn about diseases chosen by your peers.

Web Development

Web Development Academy provides an opportunity for students to learn the fundamentals of CSS and HTML, along with design and code best practices. Students will be taught concepts and programs that will reinforce their understanding of modern web-based applications. What you'll learn:
  • Dive into the fundamentals of the HTML coding language to create a functional website from scratch.
  • Use the CSS design language to add appeal and aesthetic to an existing website by manipulating different features and elements.
  • Experiment with the JavaScript language to integrate interactive features into a website, from hyperlinks, to buttons, to user engagement.
  • Create a final website project about you or your entrepreneurial endeavor using all of the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills you've learned throughout the course.

Grade:

9-12 (Born before July 13, 2011, at the age of 14 before the program starts.)

Requirements:

  • English language level equivalent to IELTS level 6.5 or TOEFL 90.
    *The international classes recruit students globally and offer opportunities for exchanges and learning with international students.

Fee:

Includes:

  • tuition, hotel accommodation fee(twin room), breakfast, excursions fees, ASEEDER group leader service fee; transport during the program (including two days of round-trip transportation between airports and accommodation, three days of cultural exploration in Boston and New York using coaches, and metro cards, or on foot for going to the Harvard campus during the study period); international insurance; study materials.

Excludes:

  • 1. Lunch and dinner;
  • 2. International transportation costs to and from the US (departure and arrival from Beijing/Shanghai/Shenzhen/Hong Kong, you can use a third-party service or ASEEDER's unified service);
  • 3. Visa fee and visa service fee: 2800 RMB (ASEEDER's VIP visa service promises that if the visa is refused for reasons other than the client's own, the visa service fee will be fully refunded or the client will have the right to a second visa application free of service fee, and the program fee will also be fully refunded.)
