  Introduction

■ Introduction

Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry, established in 1966 with campuses in Tokyo and Osaka, is the first technical college in Japan approved as an educational corporation in the field of jewelry. The college strives to nurture human talent that can support various arts of creation. By establishing jewelry, shoes, and bag departments, it has continued its journey as a college of nurturing “manufacturing” techniques and creative design techniques focused on each of these fields. Meanwhile, the college maintains close cooperation with world-class jewelry and luxury brands such as Swarovski, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Patek Philippe, offering students ample opportunities for industry practice. The college is fully equipped with specialized facilities such as a gem polishing room, casting room, and sewing room, required for the design to production of each item. All of these facilities are the same or above industry standard level. Each student has an individual computer and a sewing machine, providing them with an efficient work environment.
The HIKO MIZUNO College of Jewelry Summer School, organized directly by the college, specializes in jewelry design, encompassing three core areas: jewelry sketching and coloring, gemstone polishing, and jewelry crafting. These courses offer an immersive design and creation experience tailored for students with a passion for jewelry design, enabling them to grasp the full spectrum of the design process, from conceptualization to physical realization, fostering the creation of unique and personalized jewelry pieces to bolster their design portfolios. Upon successful program completion, students will be awarded an official certificate from the HIKO MIZUNO College of Jewelry, providing robust assistance with their future art careers.
* If students may take home their jewelry pieces, please cover the material costs.
