Introduction

Organized by B PsychED, the first psychology society at the University of California, Berkeley, which holds the #1 national ranking in Psychology according to U.S. News. B PsychED has long been committed to building a professional academic exchange platform and promoting in-depth exploration and interdisciplinary dialogue in the field of psychology.

Starting in 2025, B PsychED has entered into a strategic partnership with ASEEDER to jointly launch the Berkeley Psychology Tournament. Students work in groups of 3–4 members to complete tasks such as case analysis, poster design, and team quiz competitions by systematically applying theoretical knowledge of psychology. As a window into the forefront and developmental trends of the discipline, the Berkeley Psychology Tournament aims to provide all students interested in psychology with an environment for deep academic exploration and a platform for social interaction and exchange of insights. It seeks to deepen their knowledge base while fostering a spirit of teamwork and collaboration.

As the biggest psychology society at UC Berkeley, our mission has always been to foster a passionate and collaborative community for those fascinated by the human mind. It is with this goal that we are proud to announce a global collaboration with ASEEDER to host Berkeley Psychology Tournament in Beijing!

This tournament is for students like you who are eager to delve deeper into the world of psychology. This competition’s theme will be the evolution of psychology. Through a series of team challenges and individual rounds, you will have the chance to apply psychological concepts, solve complex problems, and understand the different eras of psychology and its development. Whether you’re considering a major in psychology or simply want to explore the field further, this tournament offers a unique and fun way to gain hands-on experience, build valuable skills, and connect with fellow students who share your passion for psychology!

【Team Challenge】RE-EXAMINE THE PAST

Based on the content covered in the Psychology Case Study, we will test your ability to quickly identify key information and apply psychological knowledge to solve problems through a short-answer challenge format. This is not only a test of your learning outcomes but also an excellent opportunity to hone your critical thinking skills.

【Poster Challenge】DISPLAY THE RUTURE

Pick a classic psychology experiment, unleash your team's creativity, and supercharge it—optimize the design, refine the process. Finally, turn your innovative vision into a poster and present your revamped proposal to our panel of judges.

【Quiz Bowl】LIGHTNING LEXICON

Teams will compete fiercely in rapid-fire rounds—the winning team will advance to the final stage, where they'll face off in an intense buzzer battle performance.

【Individual Challenge】MEMORIES TO MODERN MINDS

You'll compete against other participants through multiple-choice questions—transforming your knowledge into every answer you write.
