Introduction

MUNOX — Model United Nations of Xiamen — was established in 2009 and is hosted by Manila Xiamen International School. With 17 years of history, it is one of the longest-running MUN conferences in China and an established, professional international MUN platform.

The conference features 7 United Nations committees and is open to students in Grades 5–12, offering an immersive international deliberative experience for participants at different academic levels. Each committee is led by a dedicated dais and explores diverse topics. Delegates engage in intensive debates in an all-English environment, developing their public speaking, critical thinking, and leadership skills. Throughout the conference, delegates apply information-gathering and communication skills to collaboratively advance the agenda, form blocs, and draft resolutions, which are ultimately put to a vote by the full committee — experiencing the complete cycle of international parliamentary procedure.
